Our journey began in 2010 with a big idea and a valuable lesson. Two young entrepreneurs launched a marketplace to connect families with freelance workers. The experience quickly showed us that running a small business is harder than it looks. We found ourselves juggling operations, finances and admin work, instead of focusing on growth.
In 2012, Ageras was born from this lesson. Our mission was simple: help small business owners succeed while spending zero minutes on administration. What started as a platform connecting small businesses with accountants in Danemark has evolved into a comprehensive suite of services across multiple countries.
Today, over 300,000 small businesses across Europe use our platform, and we’re just getting started. As we grow, we’re looking for passionate people to help change the way entrepreneurs manage their finances. We’re not just a product; we’re an international, fast-moving team with offices in Paris, Copenhagen, Berlin and Amsterdam. 2012
Ageras is born in Denmark as an online marketplace connecting small businesses with trusted accountants.
2015
We expand beyond Denmark into the Netherlands, followed by Germany in 2016, attracting more small businesses along the way.
2017
100,000 sign-ups! Our platform begins making a real impact, and this is just the start.
2018
We launch our accounting app, moving toward our vision of a fully integrated financial ecosystem with banking, accounting, payroll, and tax into one unified platform.
2020
We hit 200,000 sign-ups and acquire Tellow, a powerful bookkeeping tool, streamlining automated bookkeeping, expense tracking, and tax reporting for small businesses.
2021
We issue our first business loan, and welcome Salary and Zervant, enhancing the Ageras galaxy with payroll and invoicing solutions.
2022
We acquire Kontist, a leading German business bank account, stepping into the world of banking and strengthening our financial ecosystem.
2023
Our biggest milestone yet: We achieve profitability, proving that our growth model is thriving!
2024
We make a game-changing move by acquiring Shine, a leading French fintech, and expanding to 300,000 small businesses across Europe.
2025
