We’re looking for a Customer Support Specialist to join our Berlin-based Customer Support team, supporting our banking product. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the future of customer service and empowering businesses to manage their finances effortlessly.
👀 Here’s a quick look at how our team is structured:
- Marcus, our Director of Customer Service, leads operations across Europe to ensure service excellence,
- Philipp, our Head of Customer Support for Germany, driving impactful projects and supporting a talented team in Berlin,
- Your team, currently 11 members, is divided into two key focus areas:
- Customer support via phone, email and live chat (this will be your primary focus),
- Customer operations, managing account openings and acting as the bridge between our team and our banking partner.
✨ Your role as a Customer Support Specialist
Your mission? Help our customers manage their professional accounts (bank cards, transfers, direct debits) and simplify their administrative, so they can focus on their core business.
In this role, you’ll play a key role in our product’s success and growth, ensuring our customers receive exceptional support.
Looking for flexibility and the opportunity to make an impact during off-peak hours? This part-time position primarily covers week-ends, public holidays, and evening shifts—perfect for those who enjoy varied schedules, thrive in dynamic environments, and are looking to invest 20-30 hours per week!
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide comprehensive, high-quality support to entrepreneurs, accountants and small businesses via email, chat and phone,
- Investigate complex banking cases, identify solutions, and guide customers through their banking-related questions,
- Prioritize incoming requests and choose the best communication channel (email, chat or phone) to efficiently resolve customer issues,
- Pay attention to detail—anticipate the “extra touch” that reassures and retains customers,
- Contribute to process improvements, helping build a strong knowledge base and writing help center articles,
- Proactively communicate with team members and other departments (Product, Tech, Partnerships, Marketing, etc.) to handle specific situations and share potential improvements.
✨ Skills and qualities we’re looking for
- You have at least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role (customer support, sales, hospitality, etc.), ideally in a SaaS company,
- You communicate clearly and professionally in both German and English (written & spoken), with German being the primary language for customer interactions,
- You are empathetic and can put yourself in your customers’ shoes: customer satisfaction is a top priority for you,
- You thrive in teamwork: you’re not afraid to ask for help or offer support when needed. You’re also open to feedback and self-improvement,
- You are eager to take a significant step in your career, willing to work hard for long-term success, and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment with a flexible mindset beyond a strict 9-to-6 schedule,
- Experience with mobile applications, digital solutions, and banking and/or accounting knowledge is a strong plus,
- You thrive in a dynamic work environment with flexible schedules, including week-ends, public holidays, and evening shifts,
- You’re proficient with collaborative tools like Slack, Notion, Intercom, or similar,
- You speak German at a native speaker level and you have at least a professional level of English.
