👀 The Design at Ageras

To stay on course and achieve our Product Design goals, the team consists of around fifteen people divided into four team: Invoicing & Accounting ; Staff Design ; Copywriting and Banking—which you will be part of.

📋 Your Role as a Product Designer - Banking Ops

As a Product Designer within the Banking Ops team, you will focus on designing tools that support banking operators working behind the scenes. Your mission is to enhance operational efficiency through automation and process optimization, ensuring seamless financial transactions, fraud detection, and compliance.

While this position does not focus on end-user experiences, it is an exciting and high-impact role due to the rapid feedback loops. Your users are your colleagues, and you will witness firsthand how your designs improve their daily workflows.

At Ageras, we take great pride in our back-office systems, which we have built from the ground up with ambitious goals. This is not just a support function, it’s a critical part of our business, and we treat it with the same level of innovation and attention as our customer-facing products. Your role will be pivotal in making complex banking operations feel effortless.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Design & user experience

• Contribute to and iterate on the existing design system used across banking operations.
• Work closely with banking operators to understand their needs, test solutions, and refine designs based on feedback.
• Improve workflow efficiency, ensure seamless navigation, and enhance usability of internal banking tools.
• Translate regulatory and operational constraints into user-friendly experiences.

2. Key projects

• Design tools that automate manual reconciliation processes and improve accuracy for finance teams.
• Enhance systems that provide real-time visibility into financial transactions.
• Create dashboards for managing large transaction volumes, categorizing tasks, and prioritizing actions.
• Develop structured tools for workflow standardization while ensuring adaptability.

3. Collaboration & strategy

• Work with Banking Ops, fraud & compliance teams to design integrated solutions.
• Align with Product managers & engineers to ensure feasibility and smooth implementation.
• Partner with other designers to ensure consistency within the design system.

• You have proven experience in back-office design, SaaS software, or regulated industry workflows.
• You enjoy tackling UX challenges and know how to optimize and improve existing systems.
• You have hands-on experience contributing to or maintaining design systems.
• You thrive in collaborative environments, working seamlessly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• You are passionate about educating and advocating for product design within the team, helping others understand its impact and value.
• You are fluent in written and spoken English.
