Engineers at Ageras are dedicated to delivering scalable, reliable, and user-centric solutions through a robust, modern architecture that fuels our continuous growth. Our team of 150 talented engineers is structured into tribes, each responsible for a key area of our product. Each team is composed of an Engineering Manager, a Product Manager, a Product Designer, and Software Engineers, working collaboratively to drive innovation and excellence.

Our structure maximizes impact and ownership:

• Product teams develop core features for key business domains (invoicing, banking, accounting).
• Platform teams manage infrastructure and core services (Cloud, DevOps, Core APIs, developer tools).
• Data team builds data pipelines for engineering, modeling, and analytics.

Regarding our stack, our architecture is structured in microservices and cloud functions, and we use React, React Native, Node.js, Nest.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Docker, Terraform, and AWS.

📋 Your Role as a Software Engineer

By joining our Accounting team, you will play a key role in simplifying accounting management for our users and their accountants. You will help develop features that enable users to track their company’s financial movements, generate accounting exports, create budget forecasts, and streamline daily accounting tasks. Additionally, you will take ownership of reconciliation processes, transactions, and open banking connections, ensuring smooth and efficient financial operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working on a broad range of our core products, from open banking to reconciliation.
• Leading the development and delivery of key features within your squad, ensuring high-quality, efficient code.
• Collaborating closely with the Product Manager and Product Designer of the team, as well as with other tech teams.
• Writing reusable, maintainable code, conduct tests, and participate in code reviews to uphold rigorous quality standards.
• Implementing automated testing to ensure product reliability, optimize performance, and swiftly address production issues.
• Promoting best development practices like domain-driven design, clean code, pair programming, and mentoring.
• Driving architectural decisions by proposing and implementing innovative technical solutions.

🔎 About you

• You have at least 5 years of backend development experience in a JavaScript/TypeScript environment.
• You have solid expertise in clean code principles, microservices architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) for building scalable and maintainable systems.
• You have 5+ years of experience in a technical environment similar to ours.
• You have hands-on expertise working in Cloud environments like AWS or GCP.
• You can communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and shared understanding.
• You have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
• You’re comfortable working in English and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Ideally, you’ve worked in highly regulated sectors like banking or insurance.
